At Laois Flying Club at Limetree Airfield you will be greeted with a warm welcome. The field is open to all different types of people who are interested in the aviation world; from pilots with many years experience to the teenager with wide eyes eager to learn. The Club consists of more then 50 members, from different types of aviation backgrounds; from microlight three axis aircraft to weightshift aircraft to Class A and vintage aircraft. Also based at Limetree is the Irish Sport Rotorcraft Club which offers training on Gyroplanes. Computer AccessComputer with Broadband connection available to keep abreast of current met and flight safety issues. Briefing RoomsOur briefing room have wallboards, tables, and chairs, and are available for briefings, flight planning, examinations or private study. Members And Staff Social EventsThroughout the year social events are organised, from BBQ's to special flying occasions. Members are regularly updated by newsletter and online forums about forthcoming events and club related news.
