      The Air Accident Investigation Unit (AAIU) is part of the Department of Transport, and is responsible for the investigation of aircraft accidents and serious incidents within Ireland and in certain cases to Irish registered aircraft abroad.
    • Commission for Aviation Regulation (356)
      The Commission is an independent public body under the auspices of the Department of Transport. The principal function of the Commission is in the area of price regulation at Dublin Airport and Aviation Terminal Services Charges at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports.
    • Irish Aviation Authority (461)
      The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) is a commercial state-sponsored company which was established on 1 January 1994 to provide air navigation services in Irish-controlled airspace, and to regulate safety standards within the Irish civil aviation industry.

    Aero Club 2000 Ltd was formed in 1998 and is a Training Facility registered with the Irish Aviation
    Authority, we operate from Abbeyshrule Airfield Co. Longford
    at the Heart of Irelands Lake Lands.
  • Irish Sport Rotorcraft Club
    The Irish Sport Rotorcraft Club is dedicated to promoting gyroplane flying in Ireland and we provide top class flight instruction in gyroplanes. The club is run by the members for the members.
  • National Microlight Association of Ireland
    The National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) is the representing body for microlights in Ireland. Their aim is to promote the sport of Microlight Flying.
  • Irish Parachute Club
    The Irish Parachute Club has been operational since 1956 and is one of the longest running non military/non commercial parachute clubs in the world - in 2006 they celebrated their 50th anniversary. They are open every weekend, every bank holiday Monday, Fridays during the summer months and occasionally midweek for special events.
  • Ormand Flying Club
    The Ormand Flying Club are based at Birr Airfield in Co. Offaly. They offer fixed wing training to PPL(A) and PPL(M) standard. They regularly hold fly-ins throughout the year.
  • National Aeroclub of Ireland
    The National Aero Club is the representative body for all air sports in Ireland and is affiliated to the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) the world air sports federation. The National Aero Club oversees the participation of Irish aviators at World and European championships and validates record attempts on behalf of the FAI.
